Overberg

Overberg starts in the east of False Bay, stretching from Cape Hang Klip to Witsands on the banks of Breede River. In contrast to the Cape, this region of Western Cape Province is only sparsely populated, just a few towns and villages are scattered across a spectacular mix of mountains, rivers, fields and coast. Cross the Hottentots-Holland Mountains and you leave Cape Town’s hubbub behind. Yet despite its beautiful landscape, solid wind stats and warm water, Africa’s southernmost coast remains almost completely overlooked by travelling kiters and windsurfers.
