Southern Finistère

But you can explore the beauty of Brittany without leaving the mainland in Southern Finistère. The Presqu-île de Crozon encapsulates the region’s diversity in a manageable space: wild and romantic landscapes, laid-back locals, and high quality venues. Big wave spots such as La Palue in the Bay of Dinan with their huge, powerful waves can scare the very bravest. Hence freeriders prefer the bays of Morgat, Douarnenez or Audierne. From there to Penmarc’h stretches an almost uninterrupted sandy beach for 25km, often with large, standing-depth areas – vive la liberté! And finally, the spot that first made Brittany famous… Who doesn’t remember the photos of Robby Naish riding double mast-high waves on his pink sail at World Cup La Torche?
