Upper Normandy

Upper Normandy’s sublime landscape differs only slightly from its northern neighbour. The deep blue of the Atlantic and the luminous white of the chalk bestow an almost translucent quality, which inspired impressionists like Claude Monet in their day. Thankfully, oil terminals and industry only spoil the scene in a few places. Several of the region’s spots remain an inside tip in summer – thanks to thermal winds in Fécamp, Antifer and at Cap de la Hève, you’ll be on the water plenty.
