Banzai

This one’s better-known as a surf-spot too, although Banzai also lures windsurfers in strong south-east or north-westerlies when long-running waves, which can easily hit 3m, peel over a rocky seabed. This is a dangerous spot – if you’re not 100% sure, do yourself a favour and don’t go out. The drive in is again via the Aurelia; the launch is between Santa Marinella and Santa Severa at the village of Giovani. There’s a restaurant nearby. If the break’s overcrowded, try a little further south for similar conditions at 'Off the Wall’.
