Formentera
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
This little island off Formentera's northern tip is a designated nature reserve, only accessible by water; either ride over from Illetas or come by boat. When cross-on to onshore westerlies get strong enough in winter they can deliver up to 2m-high waves, otherwise it’s usually freeride in the partly standing-depth lagoons. Levante means freeride too, as the waves are blocked by a reef off the east coast. It’s a safe spot in light winds; you can clearly see the few rocks through transparent turquoise waters.
