Les Roquilles, Carnon-Plage

Carnon is back within the Mistral's sphere of influence, which combined with a south-westerly thermal creates a pretty broad wind window. The surf-spot of Les Roquilles to the west of the harbour-wall is a popular kite playground out of season too. Although the beach is smaller than 'La Grande-Motte', it's not as busy. South-easterly is slightly onshore and generates an imposing shorebreak if it's blowing hard. A summer kite ban means you’ll need to relocate to 'Le Grand Travers' between Carnon and La Grande-Motte.
