Parc à Huître, Étang de Leucate
Occitanie & Pyrénées-Méditerranée
Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:
Parc à Huître is the place that made Leucate famous. Stretching over 3km along the road to Port Leucate, the water's standing-depth quite a way out and the only dangers are the oysterbeds in the middle of the lake, which are hard to miss. Only when the Tramontane blows onshore Force 8 for several days do you have to watch for shallow areas, as the lake's water level will drop. Parking is free and there's now even a little toilet block.
