Sahlenburg

It's just a short walk to find a friendly little crowd at this forested, grassy venue by the little town of Sahlenburg. A large standing-depth area offers enough water for about six hours around high tide, when the groynes are partially submerged. There’s something for everyone though – it’s easy inside, more challenging outside. Plus free parking especially for surfers (!) right at the launch. These days, as all over Cuxhaven, strict rules dictate where to ride: avoid the bathing zone and nature reserve.
