The long beach between El Morche and the cape of Torrox Costa is one of the region’s most popular wave spots. From autumn to spring, the Poniente keeps sunbathers off the sand and provides locals with up to head-high waves. Conditions can be very clean with cross to cross-on wind from the right, but it’s often pretty gusty. You used to be able to freeride here in Levante, but since the empty plots have been filled with new hotels, it now blows too unreliably.
