Steinhuder Meer - Weisser Berg

THE hotspot in the North German inland. Windsurfers and kiters use adjacent beaches for the launch, whilst on the water their paths hardly ever cross. Very large standing area and beyond the opportunity to use the whole lake (about 3.5 km each way). Parking is available at the beach hotel for 3, - a day. However, on wibndy days you should be early or it will already be packed. If so, you can still unload there and park approximately 600m away for free on Meerstraße. A windsurf and kite school is also on site.
Attention: there’s a winter ban for bird protection from beginning of November until end of March (01.11.17 - 19.03.18 / slightly different every year) and it’s monitored very strictly!
