Beauduc

Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

Auszug aus dem KITE AND WINDSURFING GUIDE:

From 'Salin-de-Giraud', drive about 15km west off the beaten track and with a bit of patience you’ll eventually find this kilometre-long croissant-shaped sandy beach. Soul-surfing could have been invented here – the views of salt-lakes, flamingoes and wild horses is real postcard material. Everything from south to northerly pretty much works – either freeride or small waves, depending on wind direction and strength. A reliable south-westerly thermal creates perfect kiting conditions, but take care if it blows really strong as the beach can flood. Mistral is cross-shore from the right and amazingly consistent (if usually weaker here than the Golfe de Fos). The first 200m is standing-depth. Park right on the water’s edge – apart from two fish restaurants there’s nothing for miles around, so be sure to stock up on rations!
