The 'Mondial du Vent’ is staged in La Franqui every year. Offshore Tramontane delivers ideal conditions for speed and freestyle – albeit often in over 40 knots of wind! Marin reveals its dark side; waves with quite a lot of shorebreak. La Franqui's best conditions come when Marin gives way to Tramontane, which blows the waves clean (cross-off from the left). Sadly this is very rare and never lasts more than a few hours.
